Where do I start? Dusty and smells of old cooking oil. Meals cold, 25 mins to get a drink (we were the only people in the bar other tahn the owner). Chicken in the tapas still raw & chipped crockery. I have just been passed today and its closed down....surpise surprise!

Creaking old hotel with mouldy ceilings & smelly bathrooms. Uncomfortable bed & noisy corridors ensure a poor nights sleep. The ensuite smelled as if something had died in it. Can't think of a single reason to stay there. If we hadn't arrived so late we would have left and booked into another hotel.

Having been to this restuarant and had good service and food previously, I took friends to the same for what I thought would be an enjoyable quiet evening. To avoid disappointment I booked 4 weeks earlier the booking confirmed over the phone. On the evening concerned we arrived together on time and presented ourselves to the male behind the bar.He immediately became... For £27.50 a night this place was exactly what I thought it would be, which was perfect for me as I was only in the room for a few hours sleep. It was very hot in the room, but it was very hot outside as well so I don't think the hotel was too much at fault, a fan might... More

Came here with a few friends for a stag do, and would definitely go back! Dave is a very friendly host, Pam's breakfasts were superb when there's a day of activities and fun ahead and there's some plentiful and tasty tapas on offer in the evenings. It's only 3 minutes from the Market Square, so ideal to get home after... More

I read previous reviews about this hotel and expected the worst. However, the owners must have made substantial improvements, as I thought it was very good value for money. The room (room 2) was small but clean with lots of character. There is a lovely cosy bar and restaurant area although we didn't eat there. We came back around 03:30... More

Stayed in this hotel as it was cheap, hence the title of my review. You get what you pay for basically but I think I'd prefer to pay a little more and go elsewhere. Although the room was clean it was v.small, the sink was in the bedroom but was out the way. The toilet and shower was clean but... More

We arrived in the hotel and were booked in at the bar, not unusual but it is slightly when the "regulars" start giving you hassle about knocking on their door and making noise when we get back to the hotel later? If only they were so vocal with the neighbours the whole weekend. The rooms themselves were of a poor... More

They phoned me just 2 days before my trip to Nottingham telling me that they can not take my booking. They said that too many bookings were made while they were away for a while and they could not fit me in their booking list. I made the booking about 3 weeks ago so they must have been away for... I'm unable to give this hotel any points. They canceled our booking the day before we were due to arrive. Total incompetence on their part as they had double booked. Not only are they unable to run their hotel properly however, they also refused to help us out of the predicament that they had got us in to by suggesting... More
