We stayed at the Lamb during the week- it was most excellent. It has an excellent location, good breakfast, good food and drink and is a great base to explore from. The staff were very attentive. more
lovely atmosphere, very relaxing, nice old fashioned hostelry, no music (thank God), good (though not exceptional) bar food, wonderful breakfast (where there is soft background music) very comfortable bedroom and luxury bathroom. They go to a good deal of trouble here (and we've known 'The Lamb' for many years). Also superb value with their 2 nights for the price of... more
Called at the Lamb recently on an idealic summer evening and ate in the delightful garden. I have a Cray Fish Rissotto and my partner had some exquisite ham with two fried eggs peas and chips. The food was perfectly cooked and presented and we could not have wished for better. Prices are at the top end but you are... more

We stayed at The Lamb Inn, Burford for one night in February 2009, to escape the city for a few days and get some fresh air., it is an ideal base to visit the Cotswolds. We booked through The Classic British Hotels website and opted for the Winter Warmer deal of, bed, breakfast and evening meal for 2 people at... more
Tricky one this. The public rooms were fine. Roaring log fires. ..squashy sofas...comfortable bar...nice dining room...good enough food...erratic service but pleasant enough staff mainly from eastern Europe. There were some issues upstairs. We "upgaded" to Windrush room. Cracked ceiling...couple of carpet stains...poor lighting...the bathroom was not pristine....bit of dust around... I guess Housekeeping had a feather duster malfunction. The Molton... more
Great deals to be had at the Lamb Hotel midweek, out of season. We paid only £100 for dinner, B&B - on a winter warmer deal - pay £32.50 for dinner each, and B&B is £35 - cheaper than the Travelodge up the road. Normal price £180 odd B&B. I used to pass through Burford many years ago and thought... more
We stayed at the Lamb Inn, booked via their website on a winter warmer deal. Upgraded the room for an extra £20. So total deal was approx £155 for 2 for the night. which included meal in restaurant. Parking was difficult, we parked on the road. We were shown immediately to our room. The Windrush room overlooked the quiet street,... more
We have just returned from a three day break to Stratford/ Cotswolds. On the second day of our break we travelled down from Stratford and ended up at our 'piece of heaven' (AKA The Lamb Inn) for the night..or so we thought....We were shown to our room 'Rosie' my fist impression? strange aroma, lots of cushions on the bed and... more
