My Daughter-in-Law, Granddaughter and myself visited the Maytime yesterday, 5th May, for Sunday lunch. They had never been before but I had many times before the 'takeover'. We were staying nearby and walked to the area for a pub lunch. The Maytime could not of been more helpful and friendly. The food was wonderful and reasonably prices. A great place! The pub had very tasteful decor and we were made to feel most welcome. Worth a visit.

I could not fault this experience, the food was beautifully cooked,the wine list was superb, the service was very professional, and it didn't cost the earth. Mickael and his team provided a lovely evening. Thank you. I would also recommend the beautiful rooms, all refurbished to an incredibly high standard. Will definitely be returning.

We stayed last October just after Dom had taken over and although the food and service were great the rooms were somewhat below par. We stayed again this April and what a difference! We thoroughly enjoyed our meals at the Maytime in tastefully decorated surroundings this Saturday p.m., lots of people were sitting outside on very sturdy newly acquired tables and chairs by the looks of things - it was the first sunny day in ages, but a little cold for us to eat outside. walked through the village many times and the pub has always been closed but was told it had been re-furbished and thought we would give it a try. It never ceases to amaze me the standard of the food in some of these tucked away pubs. Really good food and excellent wine list and great service...will return and recommend.
