Dont be fooled by the main house! Main house looks lovely and I am sure the rooms are lovely in the main house. Our visit to Heythrop was the most dissapointing experience in recent years. If we had looked it up on Tripadviser before booking we would not have bothered. My friend and i had a spa weekend at this hotel. BRand new facilities opened previous week. All working but did not seem to be completely finished and stonework still had grout on.. People amaze me!...............I have no idea why Heythrop has received any negative comments, as the hotel and setting was fantastic. Having read a few poor reviews I was concerned about staying here, but the more recent ones were positive so perhaps things had improved - and it looked great on the web site.
