We stayed in room 4 with the four-poster bed. I thought the bed was very comfortable but my husband is just over 6-feet in height and did not fit too well in the bed with the footboard. (I should have thought of this before booking that room!) The room was nice and clean enough. The floorboards on the second floor... more

While the pub is quaint and the food fantastic, I’d recommend staying elsewhere in the area. We stayed in room #3 which may have been the smallest room I’ve ever stayed in. I’m honestly not sure how they fit the bed in the room! There was really nowhere to go with our luggage and in fact, we only brought one... more

The pub is located in the picture-postcard village of Great Tew, very pretty and not too hard to find. The pub and restaurant are very cosy. Room 6 is at the top of the bulding, up 2 steep, narrow flights of stairs, as you would expect somewhere of this age. Our room was quite comfortable. I would have liked an... more

So much for the paying guest! Having been woken by raucous laughter at 2.30 by the staff downstairs, my husband finally got dressed at 5.30 and went down to the restaurant and asked the staff to "kindly desist". Apart from that, very pretty place, great location. more

We stay on a Sunday night which was such a treat for they had local English folk music. It was an incredible show in the pub by a one man band. The pub is quaint with low rafters, a fire place, and mugs hanging from the ceiling. The breakfast area was lovely right next to the pub. The room was... more

We stayed for two nights in Feb. We stayed in room 1 which was smaller but very nice for the first night and then moved up to room 6 which is their larger room which was fantastic. We had our Valentines dinner at the pub. The people that operate the property are wonderful. From the management to the staff they... more

Had a wonderful time here this weekend. The pub is probably the nicest we have been to and the village itself, is picture postcard perfect. Stayed in the biggest room (6) which was at the very top of the house up 2 very steep flights of stairs. Excellent room, fantastic food, great beer, wine and whisky, and friendly staff. Highly... more

We stayed here for a night in February. Its a lovely little pub with about 5 rooms. We stayed in room 3 which was small but very cosy. It even had a little DVD player! I think room 5 is the big room! We had dinner in the pub which was fantastic and worth the price you pay. Also the... more

We thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. Pub downstairs, lots of locals and live folk music all added to a great time. Room looked out on a beautiful Cotswold village. Unforgettable-not like any of the typical villages overrun with tourists. Great service, room was romantic, clean and with an unforgettable view. Pub also offered dinners (by reservation) that were excellent. more
