My fiancee and I have just returned from the Kingham Plough - we had a great night away, a very tasty dinner and breakfast and we really enjoyed our stay overall. Dinner is not cheap, but was well, well worth it. We found one of the most difficult parts of the weekend was choosing what to order! The hotel is... more

My partner and I have just returned from a holiday in the Cotswolds. We had seen the Kingham Plough on the internet and although it looked expensive, we thought we'd give it a try on the first night of our holiday as we didn't feel like cooking. We arrived at the Plough shortly before the advertised end of dinner service... more

We have been to the Kingham Plough several times to eat - we live locally so have no need to stay. The food is always unusual and normally very good. We went for our wedding anniversary last week and I must say that it was a little disappointing. The menu is limited and we've come to expect that, but they... more

I stayed one night at the Plough and was very disappointed at the service I received. Whilst the staff are very friendly and my room was clean and pretty, I really think that this B&B/hotek needs to improve its service levels for guests. I had a problem during my stay, which was caused by the staff forgetting a request I... more

We stayed for a weekend in July. Having read other reviews, we were not surprised by the smallness of the annexe room - it was bright and airy. Absolutely nowhere to put anything away, other than on some dodgy hangers which kept falling off the wall or on the floor. The floor won. The bathroom was the smallest I have... more

Felt should add something given the negative recent reviews here which nearly put us off booking. We stayed one night and at both dinner and breakfast the food was excellent in the main (one fish dish was a bit dry) and imaginative. The service was very friendly and attentive although some of the staff appeared a little young and nervous.... more

We didn’t stay, but went for dinner at the Kingham Plough and thoroughly enjoyed it. The food was fresh and innovative and served by some very charming young people. In fact the Raspberry and Marzipan tart was about the best dessert I have ever eaten and that’s saying something. more

We had read very mixed reviews of the Kingham Plough so decided to try it out for ourselves. We wish we hadn't. On the positive side - it is very fresh, clean and modern - extremely well presented. The staff are exceptionally polite and well mannered. That's all we have to say on a positive note. The first thing that... more

We did not stay at The Kingham Plough as we live quite near to Kingham. We heard about it from a friend who went to lunch there one day. We decided to have a meal out on our Wedding Anniversary and wished we hadn't bothered. Admittedly it was a Saturday evening and the place was full to overflowing. We sat... more

After reading such rave reviews of the food (from ex-Heston Blumenthal sous chef) at the Kingham Plough, we were very excited about having a relaxed Bank holiday - Monday lunch in the beautiful village of Kingham. We have regularly visited Blumenthal's 'Hinds head' pub with our 2 year old toddler before and expected a similar experience and great pub food... more
