Me and wife went there for our wedding anniversary and it was more than we expected#!! The staff was really great and looked after us brilliantly. The food in the restaurant was extrodinary, was hungry as soon as I smelt it from the bar. Rooms were stunning, loved the open plan bathrroom. My wife and I can't wait to go... more

My partner and I booked the 'GRANDE DAME' suite for our third anniversary, seemed a little pricey at £395 per night but we thought what the hell.... on arrival we parked outside on a single yellow line as it was pouring with rain, we checked in and were advised that if we wanted car parking there was a charge of... more

We went out for my partners birthday with friends last night it was disappointing from start to finish, No parking ,Staff smoking outside ,Rude staff who we guess are ex KFC workers , Over priced food , English staff don't know the menu . If you want a special meal with friendly staff don't come here . more

I was in Henley of all places last week and I booked the Hotel du Vin. We stayed in a 'river suite' which had views of the regatta course which I believe takes place in July. The room was split on two levels with the upstairs well appointed with a trademark HdV bathroom....even with a tub outside!! Downstairs a roomy... more

This place is very much trading off its old reputation - very rude staff and unhelpful receptionists (didn't help my pregnant wife with luggage). Hot water kept kicking out. As for bistro, the staff barely speak English, there is little flexibility over the menu (supposedly you can only have a well done burger - cooking it rare was a step... more

I recommend you stay in another hotel but have dinner one night in their restaurant , the Bistro. On the surface the hotel should be good ,it is clean , nice bathroom with everything ( except shower cap for wife) , bedroom well appointed , teamaking facilities , public areas well looked after and clean etc but at £195 for... more

We ate in the Bistro for a family Sunday lunch. 2 courses were £17.95 or 3 for £24.95. The menu offered a choice of 4 starters, 4 mains and 4 desserts. Several of us had the roast beef with Yorkshire pudding etc. The food was OK but portion control was poor. One of us had thick slices of beef, one... more

As a fan of Hotel du Vin group from its inception, but not having stayed often times since the sell out, I was interested to see what had changed. Accordingly booked a saturday night getaway to Henley on bed, bistro, breakfast package. We were given a nice enough room (Planeta) in the courtyard which seemed fine initially especially as the... more

We stayed recently on a good DBB package. We were a bit nervous about the level of service based on previous reviews but the guy who checked us in was really friendly and very nice. Our room was a studio and was lovely. However, not the choice for those on a first weekend away as the whole bathroom was integral... more

We stayed here for my partners birthday on a dinner bed and breakfast rate which was quite reasonable. We upgraded to the top suite - The Cotes de Champagne which was fantastic - a split level suite overlooking the river, although the room looked a little tired in its decor and could do with some updating. There were throws on... more
