Stayed for 1 night for work. When we arrived receptionist was quite rude and didn't even have the manners to show us to our room. The rooms are dated and the shared bathroom was the same. In the room, the floor in front of the sink sank down when stood in front of it. I put my t-shirt on the... More

My wife and I were recommended to stay here whilst we visited our grandson at the John Radcliffe Hospital by the hospital itself. It was cold and miserable and the rooms were grubby. The furnishings were shabby and uncomfortable. The so-called bathroom reminded us of one straight out of the 1970s. Breakfast was just passable and the staff cooking and... More

Stayed here for one night while my daughter was in hospital. The room was clean and functional (although dated furniture and decor) and served my purpose as I was able to walk from the hospital, however the bed and pillows were very uncomfortable, the towels threadbare and the shower barely functioned. The general standard was below the £84 which I... More

The guest house was good value for money, the owner was welcoming and the staff very friendly helping with luggage and making me feel at home at a worrying time as my husband was going into hospital. The room had everything I needed, and was very clean and looked after every day, with the tea and coffee ect being filled.Breakfast was excellent well cooked... We stayed at the Pickwick for one night while visiting friends in Oxford. We felt like this place was way overpriced. Our room was clean and spacious, but the bed was incredibly uncomfortable. Breakfast was good, but overall we were disappointed with our stay here and would not stay again.

Where do I begin - tired and dated decor, Leaky shower and blocked toilet, Poor customer service, expensive (I paid less for a 4* hotel in Oxford in the recent past and only stayed here as colleagues had booked in). There was a terrible set up for breakfast - a pot of tea was served but had to keep getting... More

Arrived on 23-09-12 having booked a room with shared bathroom facilities. Realised my own error in booking shared facilities as I had to go into hospital the following day and needed to shower in some special hospital issued cleaning soap. When I arrived I asked if I could upgrade to a room with en-suite facilities. I was told there was... More

We stayed here 2 nights and the boy on reception didnt seem to know what he was doing. He sent us in the wrong direction to our room. When we finally found it it was cold, the furniture was dated as was the carpets and decor. The bed was uncomfortable and as we were at the front of the house... More

Indifferent staff who spoke little English in a B&B that was more like a badly run corporation. The room was small, the TV and shower did not work properly, the bed was old and uncomfortable, the windows would not close making it very noisy. The loudness of staff and their banging of doors made this a stressful stay. They were... More

We stayed here for a couple of nights. First night was great with no noise and had a good sleep as the bed is comfy enough. However, the second night people were in the room next to us and would not stop banging around. It was like everything they did we could hear. They were also up at half 6... More
