Everywhere was so cold. The female on reception was miserable, maybe she was cold as the reception area was freezing and gloomy. We got to our room and it was also freezing .The radiator in the room did not work but there was a small electric heater which we used. The bathroom was tiny. We hardly slept as the walls... more

I stayed here on a business trip to Oxford for 1 night. My company are economising at the moment, so we only get "cheap" hotels - they paid £50. The hotel is a bit shabby, the room was very "1980s" but the bed was reasonably comfortable and the hotel is a good size and in a very nice, suburban location... more

We wanted to visit Oxford so that we could do our Christmas shopping, do a bit of sightseeing and have a break. Having stayed at numerous Best Western hotels in the past, we opted for the Linton Lodge Hotel. The rating was a 3 star but it most certainly was not! The hotel was nothing more than a 2 star... more

Nice quiet residential area, short distance from city centre Stayed here with group of friends and were allocated 3 adjacent rooms. One had a halogent heater, one was OK & my had a broken window (wouldn't shut) and no heat. All 3 were double rooms but small & dark, with tired decor. Given one room had a heater they must... more

Stayed here last week. There isn't much cheap in Oxford, so I picked here, as the other cheap ones were very far from the centre. This hotel is easy to find and a quick bus ride from the centre in a lovely area. Its probably good value compared to other Oxford Hotels. The room we stayed in had a single... more

Room was clean and comfortable BUT - comments from last guest (mainly negative) were left in the room. Biscuits on the tea tray were crushed to crumbs. Receptionist was happy to change them but this should have been checked. The room was very hot - had to leave window open which meant it was a bit noisy at night although... more

Well placed in North Oxford and with free parking. Decor is pleasant if a bit tired, room was fine. Middle of the road 3* hotel ideally placed for exploring Oxford. more

Good points; nice area, well appointed rooms, with fan and iron provided. Frequent bus service into town centre, Bad points; beware of the website. It does not warn that they demand payment, for the whole stay, immediately on arrival. It also claims that all the rooms have digital satellite TV/Radio; they do not. It claims to be a short walk... more
