Location could not be better and the hotel does have a charm about it that others lack. We had a Junior suit due to needing room for 9 year old. It was worth the haggle on the phone over price as they knocked £78 off the price advertised on the web site. The rooms were great, bathroom a tad small... more

A mixed bag - hotel and room were spotlessly clean; concierge/front desk staff were friendly and helpful; lounge cafe and Morse bar were lovely. Location is excellent - right in the middle of town and we didn't hear any traffic noise. However, service in the restaurant was very amateur - we had 4 breakfasts and none were right - missing items... more

Couldn't get closer to the centre, for seeing all the sights and doing the tourist thing. The junior suite was spacious with a huge double bed and a very comfortable single for the young one. Tasteful decor throughout with a clean and tidy bathroom. Staff were polite and efficient. Breakfast offered you a wide range of delicious, well cooked food.... more

I was sitting an exam in Oxford and decided that the night before, I wanted to stay in a lovely hotel so paid £190 for a double room, single occupancy. Given the price I paid, I was expecting a large luxurious room with beautiful furniture and all the amenities you would expect from a 5* hotel. However, I was very... more

A disaster from the beginning. No heat originally. Then this was an executive room with an adjoining door that had a one inch gap at the bottom so you could hear your neighbour's talk or listen to what they were watching on tv. The windows must be single pane as we had to listen to the street noise until about... more

We stayed for one night in an Executive Room. The check-in process was effortless - I pulled up in my car, I was greated by 3 doorman and before I knew it I was in my room! This high standard of service was constant, whether you were dealing with the concierge or the waiting staff in the restaurant. The room... more

We stayed in the Randolph for our first Anniversary, I had high expectations and I was not disappointed one bit. The room was fabulous the staff friendly, especially the bar man in the Morse Bar!!!! The Molton Brown toiletries were a lovely extra special treat, especially the additional ones that were in our room when we returned after our evening... more

The Randolph (as the locals refer to it) it located steps away from the city center- perfect location. It is a charming and historic hotel, but with history comes some quirks. Our room was situated in what seemed like the other end of the earth. Up the elevator, down stairs, up more stairs, through many hallways... we finally reached our... more

Reception and concierge staff were very professional – efficient, smart, friendly and helpful – and gave an excellent first impression of this splendid hotel (which was sustained through our stay). All the public areas of the hotel were smart and well-maintained. Our room was a long way into the hotel – you could get the lift or walk to the... more
