We spent five nights at the Randolph last week on university business. The hotel is a Victorian gem--very atmospheric. The lobby is not large, but there is a cozy bar and a large, elegant dining room. Another room seems to be for afternoon tea and it was also pretty. We had asked for a deluxe room, and the first one... More

Enjoyed the whole ambience, polite attentive staff, clean comfortable room. The outside world did not intrude. We enjoyed the ease of stepping out the front door of the hotel into the city centre. Will do it again More

the Randolph Hotel (as was) has always been the centre of Oxford, opposite the Ashmolean Museum and close to the colleges. The Macdonald chain has revamped, renovated and not lost the atmosphere in the process-fabulous breakfasts, afternoon teas, drinks in the Morse Bar-for as you affecionados of the Tv series will know, lots happen in that bar. I had not... More

We stayed at the Randolph on a visit to Oxford, we had a comfortable room, the service was incredible. We enjoyed cocktails in the drawing room whilst watching the snow falling outside. More

We didnt stay here, but i popped in to have a look around and use the ladies. I could imagine Morse sitting in any of the bars with a pint, and could just picture myself having afternoon tea there too, but may have to save up a bit first! More

Great hotel with very helpful and pleasant staff, didn't come across a single one who let team down. Particular thanks to Emily who recommended the best way for 3 of us to share adjoining rooms and her suggestion was spot on. It was worth paying the extra for a prime room so that we could sit in bay window, enjoying... More

Just returned from a fantastic weekend break at the Randolph, which was our first visit to this hotel and Oxford. The hotel is unique in every way. The staff at all levels are amazing, genuinely caring , happy and professional people who clearly enjoy looking after their guests. When we booked we upgraded to an Executive room which had recently... More

I am not often inspired to write reviews on this website, but the service I experienced during my recent stay at the Randolph was so marvelous that I feel compelled to do so. The staff went out of their way to be helpful, courteous and polite, The concierge, the restaurant staff, reception and the spa beautician all deserve a special... More

The Macdonald Randolph hotel was a truly unique experience for me. The first thing one notices is the lobby. It's not huge or grand in the sense of a typical five-star hotel but it's got a quaint charm that would be unrivalled. From the concierge to the receptionist, everyone you see sports a smile. No matter the time of the... More
