Where do I start, this place is the filthiest place I have ever stayed, the carpet in the rrom was so filthy I would not walk bare foot as I was scared to pick up an infection, when we arrived the owner , who I have to say is the weirdest, rudest person I have ever met showed us a... more

The bed was clean and comfortable, the shower was hot, the food at breakfast was plentiful. This place is very close to Oxford city centre and cheap. It needs a lick of paint, but for those on a budget as long as you aren't expecting the Ritz it is absolutely fine. more

I've seen these rooms before, in some indie movie about an abortionist who lives in squalor. The first encounter was with the proprietor, an evil twin of John Cleese-- in fact, he had a photo of John Cleese in the back room, where someone had been teaching music lessons. I tried to look on this as sort of an immersion... more

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at Nanford Guest House. We were given a place to park, which was a huge help in a city where parking in highly restricted. One of the caretakers gave us a choice of room. We chose a bright, back room which was very quiet. It was not fancy but it was nicely... more

We were shown a couple of rooms which we found cramped and dowdy and then another next door on the ground floor, which had new mattresses, which was quite acceptable. The proprietor, a man of few words and an ex-mountaineer, was helpful and happy to show us any vacant room we wished. Shower was good - plenty of hot water.... more

Very poor service (over charged my credit card!), awful rooms and very dirty. I have stayed in many hotels over the years, nothing like this. Even if you are trying to save some money skip this place, as you will end up having a terrible time and possibly have your credit card details stolen. more

I had booked one night at Nanford Guest House. I came across a list of the Ten Worst in the interim and Nanford was number 3 on the list. After reading many of the reviews I decided that while I could live with faded decor and put up with strange landlords, bedbugs, mildew and mold, and smelly were not options.... more

My wife and I have just spent the most awfull two nights at this establishment! All that is missing are two famous comiedens battering each other.... although that is not to say some of the strange folk that stay there won't be seen doing so... Ok enough of the comedy, this place is truely terrible and should not be in... more

My sister and I stayed at this hotel for one night. I had booked it at the last minute judging its standard (rather foolishly) by its pictures on the internet. However , we were dismayed to find it looked rather less attractive in 'real life'. The corridors were shabby, with dirty carpets throughout . There was a pervasive rank stale... more

On this trip we generally stayed at Holiday Inn and at the Sheraton. This hotel competes in one very important category, we slept as well here as at the other two, the beds are good. You do not get the luxuries of hotels, however, you get straight forward sincere management who try to make your visit as pleasant as possible.... more
