A friend and I stayed a couple of nights last weekend. The hostel was in a great location, short walk to train/bus station. A few minutes walk to heaps of bars, pubs and shops. Staff were GREAT, really friendly and nothing was a problem. Felt really comfortable there would definitely return! more

Perhaps it's my fault for staying in one of their 18-bed dorm rooms, but I thought this hostel was disgusting. The mattresses seemed damp; the room was really smelly (despite the hostel's attempt to cover it with an even worse-smelling spray) and the common room/ bar was gross. The staff was helpful to an extent, but I definitely got that,... more

There is an extreme of RACISM in the behaviour of this hostel's staff. The environment is vulgar. Rooms are Dirty and Smelly. The only plus point is that it is near Rail Station... but overall, its the Worst place to live!!! I strongly advice people to NOT to stay here... because it can become a nightmare for you!!! more

Hi This was the first time i have stayed in a Backpackers Hostel but it was great- just what i wanted great value for money, a very friendly atmosphere, well stocked kitchen and the Location is brilliant. OK, it is not perfect, it rather scruffy and I would have loved a better mattress, but it dose feel homely and the... more

I stayed at this place on a weekend with friends. Quite possibly the worst hostel I've ever been to, a shabby place and the staff merit particular mention. Most were slow and poor at communicating. I was ushered out of the shower rooms by an obnoxious german who not only insisted on cleaning them at 7 on a Friday evening... more

I spent a month in England backpacking and this was by far the WORST hostel I stayed at. I was booked for 4 nights and ended up leaving after 3 nights. I still payed for that last night even though I wasn't there, that's how badly I needed to get away from this hostel. Here's my list of bad things:... more

Perhaps my stay was too brief to give a proper, typical experience of this hostel, but, while it essentially provided adequate accommodation, I found it fell short, in some respects, of what was advertised on Hostelworld.com (the website via which I booked), and made several hidden charges. Hostelworld promised guests free tickets to local nightclubs, plus drink discounts, but I... more

Everything one could want in a hostel! Spacious common areas. Good, clean bathrooms and locked dorm room doors! Staff were wonderful and they had the BEST hostel towels every. So soft and fluffy......... breakfast was simple but adequate and it was very close to town. Would def stay again. more

I only stayed here one night- but it was great- I have no complaints at all- great value for money and a very friendly atmosphere! The Location is brilliant- OK, so it isn't the ritz but I think you definatley get value for money. And you are provided with a locker which many hostels don't have and a great environment... more
