Clean, comfortable rooms. Good English breakfast. Welcoming, warm, and very accommodating hosts. My stay in Oxford was made very welcoming and pleasant by their kindnesses and assistance. As for location, it’s a bit of a walk to downtown Oxford but if it’s raining, bus and taxi service is very good. I walked the majority of the time.

In over thirty years of travelling we have never been asked to leave a hotel . Dated, dirty and the two people(|un introduced) obviously need lessons in how to deal with the guest. The room was clean, the beds were comfy, the service was good, the facilities were more than adequate (plenty of toiletries, kettle, hairdryer), the street was quiet- really pleased we didn't heed the previous reviews!

arrived jan 15th 2013,staff not friendly,first impression look like it was run down,very old and dusty,room was ok,tv not working,wires everywhere,curtain rail hanging down,plenty of dust on light shade and other objects,towles were like cardboard to use,shower just had watering trickling out of it, did not see fire cerificate in hall way,only one i see was dated 1984,hot cooked breakfast... I stayed here with 3 friends for a hen weekend in Oxford a couple of months ago. The guest house was frankly horrendous. We had two nights in the best room.All the furniture was wobbly, bits and pieces nothing matched. Chairs in dinning room rickety, stained and smelly. Bathroom/shower was tiny and the water system didn't work. Garden was unkept...rubbish up to front door. Terrible place don't waste you money.
