Room and bath were very dirty and the smell of the room was nauseating, even after throwing all the windows open. Walls were stained and carpet was dirty and sticky. There was hair was in the shower and on the bathroom floor. Staff closed the desk and left early in the evening, so no one was available to resolve problems... more

Good Things: Center of Town, Friendly Staff, Prompt Service, Fast Internet Bad Things: Above a nightclub that stays open until 3am, dirty walls, tiny shower (i'm not a big person, but i had difficulty moving around) I'd rather stay a little further away from the center of town, or pay more money, and get a quieter/cleaner place more

Very central location and accordingly the hotel sits on a very busy street. But room was clean and practical and being up on the top floor (rooms 31-35) there was no issue with noise. For a centrally located, convenient, reasonably priced hotel with a clean room, decent bathroom and breakfast included (albeit basic but breakfast all the same) I think... more

We stayed for 1 night (which was ENOUGH) the website and the flier IS NOT a geniune picture (it may well have been but not now) the website and materials depict a nice bar below which looks cozy. There is a 'Gourmet Burger Company' below now, and a dodgy side entrance door to the hotel. You climb some stairs to... more

The hotel does not offer the sevices that it advertises. There is not a restaurant or bar. Breakfast is only a choice of cereal and a banana - most comfortably eaten kneeling on the floor resting on the bed. Walls are stained and carpets are sticky. The secondary glazing affords nothing but total condensation - cannot see out the window... more

I stayed in this hotel for 2 nights. It is probably one of the worst hotels I have stayed in for a long time. Had we not paid up front I would have seriously considered staying elsewhere. The main complaint was that the hotel is directly above a nightclub so not only could I hear the music from my room... more

For a budget option with almost no walk to all sights, this is pretty good. The nightclub problem is there, but be sure to insist on a room at the back. where noise is muted No a/c, but unless it is height of summer, not a problem. Also, there is no elevator, so if you are travelling with luggage, beware... more

A mate and I stayed here for one night in March as we were seeing a show at the theatre across the street. You looked out onto the theatre from the room, which gives you some indication of the location. Morse country it aint! The hotel overlooks a main street populated by way too many bars and clubs. Now I'm... more

I stayed in room 21, which is directly above the front door, which slams shut unless the person entering/exiting is kind enough to catch it. They made me pay up front, before I had seen the room, and there is a lengthy list in the room of charges they will place on your credit card should anything in the room... more

The noise here was incredible, not only from the club, but also from the street. I had to book-in and collect my key from the bar in the club where I couldn't hear them and they couldn't hear me! The room wasn't anything to write home about and it needed to be because when you're awake all night you need... more
