We were pleased to have a very WARM welcome at this Guesthouse, as it was such a cold week-end. It was a pleasant place to stay and very convenient for sight-seeing in the City. Our room was spotlessly clean and had every convenience you would have in a 4-star hotel but at half the price. We had an excellent breakfast... More

Great value, very clean, good sized room, quiet, good homecooked English breakfast, well stocked library, 5 mins walk to Magdalene Bridge. Highly recommended. Thanks Viv. See you next time we come to Oxford. More

After several bad and middling experiences with Oxford B&B's and hotels, Heather House was a real find. There was a friendly welcome, pleasant room and great breakfast in this spotless B&B. The owner and staff could not have been nicer, the location was perfect for us and we were able to park the car. We shall certainly stay here again... More

Friendly, comfortable B & B with really excellent breakfasts. Knowledgeable, too, and with a fantastic library of books which will help you get to know the areas and plan your next visit to anywhere in the world! Frequent buses just outside the door for those who don't fancy the ten minute walk to the centre. More

We received a very warm welcome when we stayed at Heather House in mid-December. Vivian gave as an excellent introduction to Oxford with good suggestions of local eating houses, which we tried and were not disappointed! The B&B is spotlessly clean, very quiet, and well-equipped with fresh neutral decor. Although the room was compact, it was conveniently arranged and warm.... More

Vivian and her staff were great hosts. Vivian gave us a brief introduction to Oxford and suggested some places that we could visit when we arrived in Oxford. Her staff were very warm and always chirpy, and provided great service during breakfast. The food (English breakfast) was great. Heather house is located near the city centre, about a 15 min... More

A warm welcome greeted my arrival. The accommodation was comfortable, well kept. The proprietor, Vivian, was ever ready with information to suit my requirements - a lunchtime concert of good music, a visit to Blenheim etc. She was very knowledgeable about the various features of Oxford and surrounds. Very convenient to the main parts of Oxford - within a reasonable... More

I read the reviews on this page and was not disappointed. I stayed in a second floor single room with private bathroom and private restroom (45 GBP/ night). The bathroom was on the ground floor, which I didn't mind. The staff and the landlady were very courteous and helpful. Everything was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The English... More
