Vivian was a gracious hostess. The room was clean and homey, and the bed quite comfortable. At night it was very quiet, even though the location is right in Oxford. And breakfast was lovely. Very nice stay and an excellent value. more

I stayed at Heather House recently when visiting Oxford. The rooms Viv showed me were tastefully decorated and clean and the room I stayed in was very comfortable. Breakfast in the morning was tasty and filling. I was travelling on my own and found Viv and the other guests I met at breakfast to be very friendly and helpful. more

We booked through the Oxford Information centre and thought for 80 pounds a night that the rooms would be okay. This was not the case and we were given a room that was dirty and the bathroom smelt. a hostess willing to bend over backwards, very clean rooms, literature and information on getting about oxford, sustaining breakfasts - we had a lovely stay at heatherhouse for almost a week in oxford. easy access via bus to the colleges/city center, but we preferred the 20+ min walk. would definitely stay again. more

Good location, only 10 minutes walk to Oxford center and to bus stops for London and Heathrow. Delicious breakfasts. Vivian is very helpful and well-informed; and her B&B is excellent value. As Oxford gets more crowded and expensive it's getting harder to find good accomodation in a central location. This is it! more
