Although good location and reasonable price, the room was not in a good state - heavy mould in the fridge in the bedroom, cracked ceiling and walls with large damp patches, bathroom taps so scaled up they were very difficult to turn on and off, shower also scaled up so poor water flow, carpet stained, old curtain fitting made it... more

My partner and I stayed at the Richmond Hotel for a night while visiting Oxford. The £50 for the room included 2 x breakfast which was cheaper than any hostel in this expensive city. The Hotel is located in Jericho and is walking distance to everything in less than 10 minutes (such as the city centre, train station, Oxford Castle,... more

We stayed in the Richmond B&B for 3 nights and considering the price I can't say I can complain. It's very close to downtown Oxford, located in one of the most happening neighbourhoods but in a side street with little to no traffic. This translates into walking distance and peacefulness. The manager was very polite and mellow and made our... more

We stayed just one night at this hotel, however, we found the owner to be extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel is conveniently located within ten minutes walking distance of the city centre. The rooms are small and cosy and are equipped with en-suite shower facilities. Adjoining the hotel is an award winning Lebanese restaurant. As this is extremely popular... more

Oxford is an expensive city in which to stay, so value for money places like the Richmond are very welcome indeed. The rooms are probably a bit dated, but are kept spotlessly clean. The Richmond is ideally located in lovely Jericho, a short walking distance from the centre of town, and all the colleges, museums and many pubs. Breakfast was... more

Finding somewhere to stay in central Oxford at a reasonable price is always a challenge, and The Richmond was a great find on this front: it's within just a few minutes walking distance of central Oxford and is sensibly priced. The rooms are adequate: the bed we had was fairly small and not terrifically comfortable, but both the bedroom and... more

September 14, 2009 In Oxford on business, I spent the week of September 6, 2009 at the Richmond Hotel. The Richmond Hotel is a lovely place to stay in Oxford for a very reasonable price. The staff at the Richmond Hotel and restaurant were friendly, courteous, and helpful. Like most buildings in Oxford, the interior of the Richmond Hotel is... more

I stayed there in June 2009. The people are nice and honest. You checkin at the restaurant downstairs. If you check in around 6.30pm or before you should be ok. I have not tried to do this after 6.30pm. The rooms are not new, but are ok. The cleaning and towels/linen is of the standard you expect from any hotel.... more

A conveniently located, calm, clean, and very reasonably priced bed-and-breakfast hotel with courteous and considerate staff in the heart of the buzzing Oxford neighbourhood of Jericho -- what's not to like?!? I recommend this hotel highly, particularly for the budget traveller or frequent visitor, as Oxford's hotels are generally terribly expensive and there are often two or three night minimum... more

This was the worst hotel experience I have ever had!Very rude threatening staff. 2 weeks prior to arriving, i had booked 2 double bedrooms after 7 times of phoning i finally booked it over the phone when someone could be bothered to pick the phone up! On arrival to the hotel there was no-one at reception, we had to look... more
