I've travelled all over Europe on business and stayed in some fabulous places - this hotel is on my doorstep - stayed for a big birthday - one of my favourite hotels - can't fault it (other than the rates - but you get what you pay for - just wish I could stay more often!). more

Booked on the day so got a great deal via late rooms - interestingly the hotel didn't offer the same deal when trying to book direct with them. Lovely welcome, room beautiful, staff really helpful. Breakfast great although breakfast staff not quite as attentive as the front desk/porters. Will definately go again as the new Eden restaurant looks great. more

Stayed at the Forbury and for once I was really happy with everything about a hotel. The rooms are fabulous- great bathrooms including sound system and lovely decor with tasteful paintings and sculpture. Nice attention to detail with furnishings and a memorably comfortable bed. We stayed here for two nights on our wedding night and we loved it. The room was beautiful with a massive bathroom. Everything felt luxurious and wonderful. We also ate here and the meal was amazing. All the staff were lovely. I'd definitely go again. more
