I was staying at this hotel on the night of the said wedding last Saturday. I fully agree with Steve. I would never want another night's stay with those kind of disturbances especially that I was staying at the hotel on business and had to work the next day.

Reception staff are excellent, friendly and polite. The rooms are fine. The pool is filthy, the tiles in the pool, and on poolside are cracked and very sharp. For a family area it is hazardous. Went to Sheffield for the Snooker Worldcup and choose this hotel because of the good price. The location is quite far out, but it didn't matter. Take a taxi to downtown cost 11 pounds. Good service, friendly staff, large rooms, excellent fitness center and pool. Comfortable beds, clean linens. Be sure to call for directions as google maps did not get us there. Restaurant was overpriced and mediocre.

I had an excellent stay a the Double Tree (3 weeks). The staff was friendly and helpful. They provided great suggestions for travel experiences, laundry facilities, and restraunts. And always with a smile. The workout facility is one of the best I have seen and the Spa is a nice bonus. The breakfast could use some small changes.

We used some honors points for a reward stay as a treat. But all in all we were disappointed.
