The Ivory House is clean, quiet and safe, perfect for someone like me, travelling alone for business or pleasure, or to visit a person in one of the universities or hospitals. The location is great -- only a 20-minute walk from the city centre. The number 22 bus also runs past the door every 15 minutes and I found this... more

Found this hotel last minute from the tourist information board, only stayed the one night for a concert at the arena, but were still made to feel very welcome, service was brilliant, and staff very friendly. Very reasonable prices and an excellent breakfast in the morning. They were very helpful when it came to public transport advice, went out there... more

We have stayed at this hotel on a few occations when I have had to visit the Royal hallamshire Hospital. The owners are very friendy and would do any thing to help. We would'nt stay anywhere else. Kind regards to the owners. SALLY AND JOHN NUR more

Whole family stayed here for the weekend of student son's 21st birthday. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the staff friendly and able to give advice on public transport. A good place to stay for people visiting their children who are in hall at University, who don't want to spend most of their budget on a place to stay. Good... more
