The hotel is on the outskirts of the city centre, across a busy road, within 0.5 mile walk of the city centre. I found the entrance and bar area reasonably attractive and prices for meal where value for money. At £80 per night the hotel is entry level business class with business facilities. The bedrooms are a good size, comfortable... more

I've stayed at the park inn 3 times in the past month on business. It's in a good location about 10 minutes walk from the city centre, although the area immediately surrounding it isn't sheffields finest. Check in has always been speedy with no problems. The rooms are fine, tv with limited satelite channels, adequate bathrooms, desk and room service... more

I would have thought the hotel is 60s/70s design which is in the process of being modernised. Our room was clean and tidy, with a good quality bathroom. Couldn’t use the bar facilities in the hotel due to a large Christmas party – they didn’t even offer a complimentary drink even after a few hints! Reasonable location, handy for the... more

We stayed here for one night as we were visiting the Sheffiield Arena it was a lovely hotel and the location was good for visiting the city centre as it was about 5-10 mins walk away. The staff were friendly and local restaurants were lovely. Bedroom was very comfortable, and bathroom was spacious. Would reccommend this hotel to anybody, and... more

I spent two nights at the Bristol at the end of June while on a business trip to Sheffield. Having read all the recent reviews of the hotel on these pages befoe arrival, I found myself most in agreement with "PenTravis" (Nov 17 2006). For a business traveller who needs no-frills accommodation, this hotel will do adequately. But in no... more

I just spent a night at the hotel due to a meeting in the early morning the next day. Having stayed at the Travel Inn in the past for meetings and conferences, I think I would try somewhere else. The hotel is pretty central and convenient for car park as the NCP parking site is just behind the hotel. In... more

I stayed i this hotel whilst going to watch the athletics, and was emmensly impressed. It is walkable distance to a tram stop and the train station. I was near everything i needed and found this fantastic. The breakfast was included in the price (which was extremely cheap) an everything about the hotel was nicely decorated and clean. The only... more

I travel frequently on business, and prefer "soul-less" institutional hotels (where everything is basic and everything works). Have stayed on several occasions at the Bristol, always for one week minimim. In general, Sheffield has a paucity of hotels, so prices are high and quality is variable. There is a great deal of construction, so noise is unavoidable (think of it... more

I booked this hotel from 01.10.06 till 13.10.06 but checked out after 3 days and stayed in Novotel (a very good one). I had to change two rooms in Hotel Bristol. The main room doors in both rooms (and it appeared to be in the entire hotel) were terrible, the sound it produced was so noisy, even if you want... more

I recently stayed in this hotel for two nights on business. Yes it is above a petrol station which is not actually a problem and is handy for buying water and other bits and pieces. My room (5th floor) was clean and comfortable and bigger than many rooms i have stayed in. Only problem was that it was hot -... more
