Pulled this one off the Web at the last minute. Someone was smiling down on me as I punched the buttons ! A brilliant Real Ale pub with 'Fantastic' staff and Pub Grub to die for at a price that is difficult to find these days. Bed and breakfast above a pub that contains two of its own micro-breweries. Owners have a real pride in the property, keep an excellent cellar, and make a great breakfast. Rooms are basic but clean and attractive and (except on quiz night) quiet. Very highly recommended. more

Luckily for me, I was recommended to stay at the Hillsborough Hotel. This is a basic but really friendly pub, with rooms above.
