Lovely quaint, rustic hotel with friendly staff. One of the Old English/ Green King chain and unlike others in that chain such as The Old Ferryboat and The Cross Hands they were not understaffed and the staff we did come into contact with were pleasant and helpful. Rooms are large and well appointed, with trouser press, tea making facilities, hairdryer and good quality bed linen and towels. Rooms are clean and well decorated, with just the smallest signs of wear in the bathroom. Staff are very polite and the food in the Inn is good quality, reasonably priced and with a varied selection.
