We booked and payed via Late Rooms. We just wanted a one night stay as we wanted to visit Iron-Bridge, we booked in at 1500. The car park was the first clue as to what to expect, ringing the codwebbed door bell. The room was awfull, musty, dirty and dank, we sat watching something crawl up the wall, the beds... More

Picked this room last minute as we couldn't find anywhere else with so little notice, 2 adults + 2 kids. Room was really lovely & clean, bunk bed for the kids and comfortable. Decor in pub was SUPER cute! Did not get to try the restaurant for dinner (smelled fabulous though!) but the full English breakfast was cooked very well.... More

As part of a charity cycle trip to John O"Groats - this overnight stop was booked well in advance after checking out the website. How deceiving that is! After driving for several hours and with two tired cyclists due, this was a terrible disappointment. The car park alone is enough to put you off - down a very steep hill... More

The room was DISGUSTING. In the bathroom was a leaky tap , water torture ALL night. The toilet basin was BLACK! The shower went from scalding to cold as it wished. Lose tea bags , and when I say lose I mean lose not in packets! Were offered as "tea/coffee making fascility!" The bed was as old or older than... More

Do not bother with this hotel, it's dated, shabby, rude and unhelpful staff, and do not get me started on the awful bedrooms! It's too far out or Ironbridge itself. Would never ever go back. Our next evening we spent at the Malthouse, and was delightful. Would not recommend The Valley Hotel either in Ironbridge, a Best Western, poor setting,... More

We booked a double room but were given the family room for some reason, not a good start. Considering that children would normally be accommodated in this room there are a couple of health and safety concerns, the tea and coffee facilities consisted of cups and saucers balanced on the mantle shelf with an electric kettle placed on a stool... We stayed in the family room which was a double bed and bunk beds - this was OK. The decor was really old and in definate need of cleaning up. Old brown duvet covers and thin curtains letting in loads of light from streetlight outside. There was no hot water when I tried to run a bath so I called... More

We booked the Grove Hotel and Fat Frog knowing there were some old bad reviews, but thought it would be better now. Ignoring the broken furniture, cracked sink and the towel rail falling off the wall, we would not stay here again as the cleanliness of the rooms, particularly the bathroom leaves an awful lot to be desired. The carpet... More

We booked the hotel via LateRooms.com for £60.00 inclusive of breakfast. On arrival (at 1500) we were let into the pub to check in and were practically thrown in our room and left to get on with it. The check in-process was so hurried that the land-lady had to come back moments later to give us the key for the... More

We booked two rooms at the Grove Hotel 5 months in advance using laterooms. On arrival at the Groves we greeted by the cleaner who was helpful, unfortunately she had only been left rooms keys for one room by the manager. This was not ideal, but we could cope (as the room had four beds), after unpacking and going to... More
