I booked this hotel because I needed a room that would hold 2 adults and 2 children and this was the best I could find. It was NOT a good choice. The hotel looks beautiful from the grounds, but ugly from the driveway/parking lot, and very old and poorly maintained from inside. I booked it based on a picture from... more

The hotel is a good 3-4 star standard, but the staff make this up to a 4. Some of the rooms leave a little to be desired in the spaciousness of them. However, the chef is reason enough to visit this hotel and the food is TO DIE FOR! Every night the food got better and better and the breakfast... more

Yes, it's handy for Ironbridge. Yes, it sits directly under the enormous cooling towers of a power plant, but you only notice them when coming and going. It's an odd country-house hotel spliced to a standard issue Best Western motel-like structure. We had a room at the top of the old part, up many narrow stairs and through many firedoors.... more

This hotel is hidden gem. Once we had arrived and checked in we spent the afternoon on the terrace with a glass of wine overlooking the gardens. The meal that followed can only be described as exquisite. The dishes looked beautiful, too good to eat, but we did anyway, and every mouth full was delicious. Our room was nice and... more

I stayed at this hotel for four days with my partner and I have to say that everything, save the food, was awful. One of the reviewers mentioned that they stayed in the old part of the hotel and that the walls were paper thin, they went on to mention that they could hear people sneezing and the bathroom extractor... more

Stayed for two nights. Staff were friendly but the owner / management needs to seriously consider their reputation and ability to ensure that visitors are not subjected to failings of the hotel's making. We were in a room designed for the disabled. The room is up two flights of stairs or by use of one of these lifts that allows... more
