Good points: very welcoming, beautiful location, lovely building, comfy beds, ensuite shower in our private room, good breakfasts, lovely atmosphere, very chilled, very good at catering for vegetarians with minimum fuss. Bad points: heating switched off at 9pm, noise. Specifically the flooring which means every time a herd of elephants (or children as their more commonly known) run past your... More

We stayed at this Youth Hostel for Smilies Activity Weekend at the beginning of September. A nice clean place, good location and friendly staff. The food was very good for a Youth Hostel. Games room and lounge were welcomed

It's great. Yes ventilation is an issue in humid conditions, but with these old historical and interesting buildings there are restrictions on what changes can be made. Yes menu is a little restricted but to be fair if they are catering for an unknown number of people at short notice there's only so much stock can be carried and waste... More

I hadn't stayed in a youth hostel for about 20 years as I had found that they had become noisy, dirty and badly run by wardens who just didn't care (maybe just the ones that I had stayed in), so it was mixed feelings that I booked myself and my 11 year old son into this one whilst visiting Ironbridge... The worst food I have ever paid for! 3 course meal that was only just edible. Breakfast OK but cheap quality and no cheaper than in a pub. However, friendly staff, clean rooms, good showers and common room facilities

We stayed at YHA Coalport whilst visiting the Ironbridge Gorge area. The YHA was well situated on the cycle network and footpaths around Coalbrookdale and in addition to the YHA cafe & restaurant there were several pubs in walking distance for food and refreshment. Whilst the staff was helpful and the hostel clean there were several problems with this hostel:... More

Thank you for your feedback about your stay. The car parking currently costs £1.50 between 10am and 5pm and the ticket is valid in any of the Ironbridge Museum car parks on that day. Unfortunately the original iron window frames open from a central horizontal axis and without restrictors could easily swing open and cause injury. I apologise for the... More

We will definitely stay here again. We arrived very hungry after the hostel cafe and pub had finished serving food, but were saved by the hostel staff who kindly made us some soup!
