This hotel is classy, but the rooms are starting to show their age. The rack rate is well over priced, and especially the restaurant. They are still living in the days when Shaun Hill had a Michelin star in Ludlow. Those days are well gone and the local restaurants need to see this and step up to his standards, not just his prices.

A very enjoyable 2 day stay. On the first night (Tuesday) we ate at Fishmore Hall's main restaurant (Forelles) in part because a lot of the restaurants are closed in town on Tuesdays but also because the sample menus looked enticing. We have to say the meal far exceeded our expectations and every course we ordered from the a la carte was outstanding. In terms of the room , this was spacious and comfortable. Breakfast (also served in the main restaurant) was delicious and a treat in itself as everything was made to order and served to you. A final word goes to the staff who were all cheerful, friendly and helpful. We will be back!

This was my first visit here and from start to finish was superb! The staff are professional but at the same time warm, welcoming and make you feel right at home. The facilities were immaculate. I had Jenna for my full body massage. She was amazing and has magic hands! The full body massage left me feeling completely relaxed and it was one of the best massages I’ve ever had. I’d definitely recommend Jenna!! Thank you Carol

Fabulous afternoon on a rainy day, comprising 2 course lunch, 90min private access (not sure if that was just coincidence) to small but totally sufficient & clean spa with outdoor hot tub, followed by 2 x 25min excellent massages. Friendly, professional staff. Great value for money. I highly recommend & will return 😀

The room was spacious, clean and warm. The bathroom was beautiful with a shower and bath.( we stayed in room 3).The staff were pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was nice, my partner had smoked haddock and poached egg while I opted for a Full English. We used the Spa facilities which we enjoyed. One note of caution, if it has been raining and you walk out to the spar in slippers be very careful on the slabs as it’s very slippery. All in all a great stay and would highly recommend.

We paid 330 pounds for a one night stay dinner bed a breakfast with tasting menu experience. Just don't know where to start. Upon arrival we were given the Kev to our room which was early so a positive. The room had water marks on the ceiling in bathroom and bedroom see pictures unfortunately my phone isn't the greatest. the curtains were stained and ripped. We had one seat and the other option was sitting on the bed which was over looked by the spa which isn't very romantic ..... People using and staff could plainly see you on the bed. Went to dinner and paid extra for the tasting menu. This is where it goes down hill. They were not busy only one other table eating. The food was faultless I have to say but the staff unfortunately we're not. The other table left which left just us in the restraunt. The waiter was standing on the doorway waiting for us to finish each course to clear the plates. On two occasions we both were still chewing our food so the course was definitely not finished. My husband had to go to the bar twice to get a drink and when asked if we could have more bread to mop up the beautiful sauce was made to feel very uncomfortable and told you do know extra charge which was 5 pounds! My wine was not poured which I expected from the price we paid and all the unwanted attention we experienced. We were not offered a cheese board as soon as our meal was finished we were told to take a seat in the lounge where we would be served our petit fours and given our bill to sign. I feel for 90 pound a head you should feel relaxed and looked after but that certainly wasn't the case. I asked the to remove the 10percent service charge by this point I had had enough of the whole experience. May I also add that whilst we were eating a group of lads came in, I presume the waiters friends were drinking at the bar being loud and swearing. Bed was nice and cosy bedding was clean but the smell of sewers was off putting so window closed unfortunately. breakfast was much the same service as evening toast like cardboard one little disk of butter no offer of yogurt or fruit. Hubby had full English which was disgusting 1 sausage supermarket black pudding half a ring and bacon that was so hard you had to chase around the plate. My breakfast was lovely had haddock, poached egg and hollandaise. On cup of coffee and tea was offered no more. again only 3 tables dinning so plenty of time to make it more enjoyable. window frames dirty with cobwebs. A wine bucket in the middle of the floor to catch the rain leaking in through the roof. All paint work tired and dirty in some places aswell as walls. Needs a good clean and freshen up with paint. Cleaner waiting outside room for us to leave. Asked to speak to manager when paying bill to be told no one available and he would be in later. Sat waiting for a taxi for 2 hours for train so paid for extra coffee and tea the empty cups were still there when we left wish same service whilst eating. Before we left again asked to speak to manager or someone on charge to be told nobody in. Find that strange in an expensive boutique hotel that you can not speak to someone in charge. when we arrived home we rang to speak to manager again to be told not on until tomorrow now. Rang next day to be told he was out of the country. Finally two days later the manager rang was very nice and said when he was back on the hotel he would be having words and ring us back. He rang back was basically told that waiters job is to clear plates after each course.... Obviously we were aware of that and as a good will gesture next time we book and pay the same price 330 we would have a bottle of champagne sent to our room. Thanks but it's a no from me and would not recommend this hotel to anybody. The taxi driver had heard bad reports also he said goodluck when we arrived. I will say all in all it was like walking into a morgue the atmosphere is awful Rachel Lawrence

We have stayed at the Fishmore Hotel before and it is a very welcoming and comfortable place. The staff are friendly and helpful. We had not eaten in the restaurant until this visit and we were delighted to have one of the best meals we have ever eaten in the UK.

We booked a room on the half price January b&b deal. We payed £145 and got a spacious room with a lovely big bed and huge bath and shower. The lady on reception and the staff in general were excellent, nothing was too much trouble. There was fresh milk in the fridge and fresh home made cookies brought to the room which was a lovely touch. There was a smart tv mounted opposite the bed (perfect position), we logged straight into netflix! it was fairly quiet position wise (room 4). We chose to eat at The Queens in Ludlow rather than the hotel as it had great reviews and was good value (we were not disappointed). We would definitely come back to this hotel. We boooked in for a 55 minute massage at the spa on the discounted rate while booking the room (£63 pp). We had to call the spa up to get booked in though. The treatment was good, nice comfy room and good masseuse. We got to use the spa facilities for 90mins included with the treatment. The spa itself was quite small, but they keep guest numbers low which is good so it doesn't reel cramped. There was a lovely steam room with various functions, a sauna, shower and a hot tub with a few loungers. 90 minutes was plenty of time to enjoy the facilities.

Great visit to Fishmore Hall for a spa break with friends . Our second trip as we loved it so much . A lovely boutique hotel. Nice clean rooms good size and great shower and fridge. All the staff are helpful and friendly and a lovely spa experience. I had a facial which was fabulous - ( thank you Holly). Great breakfast and the view at breakfast and from the hot tub is fabulous . It’s only a mile into Ludlow so we had a great wander around the town and some lovely shops and cafes etc . All in all, a great place for a few days away with friends.
