Myself and a colleague took 15 Year 5 children to Boreatton Park for an outdoor residential visit for 3 nights. Booking with the company's head office was efficient, however we feel that the head office staff do not have an exact picture of what this site is really like. We were promised adult tents with electricity, first aid kits at... More

I have taken groups of children to PGL every year since 2003 and have enjoyed it every time. The staff always seem enthusiastic and caring and the managers ask several times per week if everything is ok. Since 2003 the facilities have improved and the food although not fine dining is ok for the needs of the children and staff... More

My daughter has just returned from a three day stay at Boreatton Park. The accomodation was really poor and dirty; on the first day they had a room inspection and were reprimanded for the ensuite bathroom being dirty. This was how the girls found the accomodation on arrival! The beds were metal framed, in poor condition with chewing gum attached... More

I went in August for 7 nights, but the main reason I went there was for the Music Studio course, which eventually turned out very well. The views of the countryside were magnificent and my groupie and group mates were really easy to get along with, if not a few. I even managed to entertain the staff with my music,... More

I went in november 2012 with around 12 scouts and 8 guides aged 10-15 we had an awesome time. Take this review not from a pissed off parent, but from someone who actually stayed there- im a 13yo girl. The activities were very exciting, fun and fast paced. The instructors were 99% of the time fun loving people who were... More

I was lucky enough to visit with a group of girlguides , all staff were friendly and helpful. The efficient use of time meant we never stopped doing activities and having fun. The cabin was clean and warm. There are comfy sofas in the teachers lounge for relaxing in the evening. At every meal a vegetarian option is offered. Don't... More

I have just returned to a three day school trip from Boreatton Park. I would not rate it as the first day I got there we had our dinner and the food was very bad. I had chicken and everyone had to take their chicken back because there was blood in it. Some of my friends ate it and they... More

We made the bookings by telephone and gave all relevant information including their date of birth. Two days before their camps were due to start we received a short and curt email from pgl saying our youngest daughter... More

I went for the specialist film making holiday. This was my first PGL and didn’t know anyone before I went. At the end of the week I had made lots of new friends from all over the world I also made a video which can be watched on YouTube. The best things about this holiday were the day time activities...
