Roaring fire, ancient staircase, medieval beams, high end dinner, superb vegetarian breakfast all beautifully presented with fine furniture & boutique style accessories everywhere in a lovely relaxed & welcoming atmosphere.

True this building has plenty of character. We were in the orange room which is comfortable but here was what we found. An Eye for Detail I booked the Teal Suite, there largest, a quite a few weeks in advance and ask for email confirmation. This was not sent but we carry on, I then 5 days before change some small details in the booking and again ask for email conformation and yet again there keep the same standard and return nothing....
