Booked Cromwells after reading other reviews and was not disappointed. The Hotel was great value for a city centre location and whilst our room was a bit on the small side it had all we needed and the breakfasts were fabulous. The staff were superb, really helpful and very pleasant from when we arrived to when we left. Couldn't fault... More

If you are looking for a nice place to stay in the centre of shrewsbury, then this is fine. Restaurant is very nice with good food. Rooms are small but adequate for short stays. Town centre a short stroll from hotel. We would stay again.

Very central Shrewsbury hotel. About 10 mins walk from railway station. 6 rooms located over winebar. Room 4, small but well equipped with good shower. Breakfast was delicious with lovely friendly woman serving. Small negatives, breakfast was only until 9am even on Saturdays. Some noise from adjoining rooms and the street but understandable considering the age of the property. Also,... More

Stayed on night Room very small. Bathroom was very dirt, hair all around shower edge. No table in room and one chair . Very very noisy. Had to ring down to reception at 1145 pm to ask what time the music stopped . You could hear every chair being moved in bar. Breakfast very good and lovely lady serving it

Excellent, helpful & fabulous staff - especially Lee! Great food - good wine - superb ambience! Take time to pop in............. certainly worth a visit. Friends & I use the venue purely as a social meeting place - to eat and drink, sit outside in the sun-trap beer garden in the spring / summer. Catch the 'deals' when you can... More

We spent another lovely evening for our wedding anniversary at Cromwells in January. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. There's such a lovely, warm, relaxed ambience in the restaurant that it makes for a really special evening out.

Just got back from a weekend in Shrewsbury staying at the Cromwell Hotel. And I'm afraid the hotel was a disappointment. Staff and service in the bar and restaurant was excellent so was the food, but I'm afraid that as good as it gets. Before anyone reads my negative view. My wife and I spend many weekends away, throughout the... More
