We stayed here Easter Bank Holiday, 2 nights. Nothing but good things to say about the place. Bang central so less walking, friendly proprioter and bar staff, excellent room, clean throughout, breakfast brilliant (full english, cornflakes, tea/coffee/orange, doorstep toast), 24hr access to room. On leaving we were offered discount on next stay, will definately return. A++++++++++++++++++++++

Fantastic old building right in the middle of town. The breakfast was great and the room and bed comfy. Just popped in for a drink in the evening. Good atmosphere and the staff were as friendly as you could wish for. Beer was well kept with a small but good selection and they have a nice courtyard with plenty of cover. Seem to have a lot of live nights which I will be back for.

Spend three nights in twin room with shared bathroom at £50 a night or they have en suite for £60. I paid just £35 for b&b and it was absolutely fine. The room had a shared bathroom but as no-one else was staying, it wasn't a problem. The room was spacious and clean and the staff were very pleasant. Decent pub, decent food...all good

Please read and beware! Rooms are above the bar, which hosts live music. Spent the first night trying to sleep with ear plugs, whilst the bed vibrated. This was in my view a gem of a find. We came across it by accident. Quite literally in the town center. A couple of flight of stairs but nothing major. We had the en suite room and overlooked the courtyard. Be aware that it is noisy at the weekends, but that is to be expected in a busy pub.... More

Great central location. Clean and tidy . friendly staff. Food is very good value. Try the 2 for a tenner menu. Hobgoblin ale is ace! Good selection of xask ales mskes this a gem of a pub with rooms.i will recommend this hotel to all my friends and family.
