I was staying with my girlfriend in Bath as we were attending a dinner. We arrived early and met the staff, parked the car and left our bags before exploring the city. The bags were taken to the room for us whilst we were out and the excellent service from superbly friendly staff continued all weekend. The room was big,... more

My husband, mother, and I had the great good luck to stay at Somerset Villa in mid-October. Talk about a pleasant experience. We all regretted that we only had one evening to stay there. First of all the welcome was almost overwhelming. Patrick insisted on helping my husband with the luggage (my Mom and I had been slogging everything around... more

We have just returned from a two night stay at Somerset Villa. I've stayed at quite a few hotels in my time and they never turn out to be quite as portrayed in the pictures/brochure. Until now..... Somerset Villa is EXACTLY as shown - full of charm, character and history. Patrick was the perfect host - attentive, extremely jolly and... more

We've just spent two nights at this great guest house. The rooms are spacious and very clean. All ensuite which is just what you need. The owners, Patrick and Cathy, are really welcoming. Takes around 15 minutes to walk into the city and it is a relatively level walk. On the way you pass a brilliant play area for kids,... more

Extremely friendly owners who can't do enough for you during the stay, large rooms with ensuite and nice decor. Excellent cooked breakfast. Well priced for Bath and about a 15 minute walk into the town centre along a straight road. Would recommend. more

Somerset Villa is a small quiet B&B right outside the city center. We stayed for 5 days. The ensuite rooms were large, clean and decorated to the time period of the house. Patrick & Cathy, the owners, welcomed us, making sure that we had everything we needed. On our 1st morning, Patrick highlighted which sites were worth seeing, and he... more

We had a great time! The owner gave us a really warm welcome and the room was very nicely decorated and comfortable. We stayed for one night, traveled around England and Wales and came back two weeks later for two more nights. We had great chats and laughs with the owner in which we talked about all kinds of things.... more

This B&B had some of the largest rooms we have seen in similarly-priced places. The owners were very friendly, and the overall appearance of the building was lovely, including a lounge area for guests. We would suggest confirming your planned arrival time beforehand to make sure someone is there when you arrive. It's probably a good 20 min walk into... more

Brilliant B&B, just like being at home, lovely atmosphere, very good quality house. Parking tight but OK. Patrick in particular cannot do enough to make your stay enjoyable. Good access on foot, bus or taxi to Bath town centre. Good amenities including cash machine a matter of footsteps round the corner. Good breakfast - I had 4 courses: fruit salad,... more

The place is great! Patrick and hos wife are both very warm and welcoming people. The building is full of character, beautifully decorated and easily within walking distance of the city centre. They don't offer child high chairs but let us know and had no problems with us bringing our own along. They are lovely people and were fantastic with... more
