I stayed at The Halcyon hotel for one night in May and absolutely loved it. The room we were given was quite small but perfectly fine for a short stay. The room was beautifully decorated and the bed extremely comfortable. The hotel is a few minutes walk from Poulteney Bridge and is extremely well situated in the centre of Bath.... More

I have stayed at the Halcyon on several occasions whilst working in Bath and on each time have been impressed by the friendly and personal welcome extended by the reception staff, always smiling and there to help out. The rooms are great, quirky and individual but maintained and decorated to high standard, big comfortable beds and clean, modern bathrooms. Breakfast... More

Having just returned from a couple of days in Bath, I thought I really must write to say how much we all enjoyed our short stay at The Halcyon, Our rooms on the top floor were absolutely delightful and the three members of staff we met (the manager,Frank behind the reception desk and the Irish waiter behind the bar) were... The Halcyon in Bath is an absolute gem. Stylish rooms, very helpful and friendly staff and a particularly good breakfast buffet. Would recommend it highly for a city break. Ask about the bath skyline walk as this is a great way to spend a morning in the countryside overlooking the city

Lovely contemporary styling, fab central location (although our room at the front was a bit noisy due to hen night antics and the Club downstairs - though you do get 10 per cent discount card, which we took advantage of and found bar to be elegant and cosy with very pleasant atmosphere)- Our room and bathroom was spotless and the... In March we decided to leave London for a few days of exploring. We opted for Bath. A 90 minute journey from Paddington by train seemed doable with two young children in tow. It was. We enjoyed a nice rest and pleasant stay. And it was quite economic. Notably less expensive than London and other cities we have recently visited.... More

I thought this was a nice, clean little hotel, we only stayed one night and it was fine. Good value for money, there were a few things which didn't work, like the fan and some switches in the bathroom and if we'd stayed longer we might have said something but it wasn't a problem for one night. Good breakfast, and... More

My friend from Aus booked this hotel for us and what a great find ... the twin room was small but well laid out, adequate space to hang a few clothes, fabulous bathroom with large sink, perfect overhead shower, nice little touches with jars of jellies and smarties and very comfortable mattresses and pillows. The icing on the cake was... More

We stayed here for my daughters hen weekend. Firstly the location is great, central to everything, eating out, thermae spa etc. The rooms are beautiful with comfy beds, stylish decor and powerful showers. All staff go the extra mile in making your stay enjoyable but special mention has to go to Hector who was just fabulous.
