stayed here for three nights for a birthday break. great service, good breakfast, room was on third floor with a great view of the gardens. The spa was excellent as was everything else. The room itself could do with a spruce up but it ws big with a very comfortable bed and great shower(sometimes missing in other hotels). Pricewise it... More

We stayed for 4 nights over the last May Bank Holiday. We had a deluxe room. I was keen to make the most of my stay so had several email conversations with the concierge and Dave was most helpful advising on places to eat and drink. On arrival our car was whisked away and our luggage was taken care of.... More

My husband and I stayed in room 5 for one night. The room, hotel, food and service exceeded my expectations. Yes, there is some fading on the carpets, scuffs on the walls and general wear and tear but in fairness it is overall a very well kept hotel with the most beautiful spa and gardens in one of the grandest... Lovely building, fantastic location and extremely friendly and courteous staff.... But, for the money you spend, I think more should be expected. There is definitely the feel of faded splendour, with ageing carpets, wobbly floor boards etc. some of which is to be expected in such a building and you could say that's part of the appeal, but for us,... We stayed for a romantic weekend in a Delux room with its own terrace. The room and bed were both very comfortable. We didn't eat at the hotel as we had reservations for other local restaurants. By the standard of the breakfast and the room it was set in, we wished we had experienced it. Also the garden was so... More

Great hotel. We've eaten here over the years and never been dissapointed, be it lunch, high tea or dinner. Always a special occasion. The surroundings are delightful (walk through the gardens to the main dining room), and the food is great. Highly recommend booking (you'll probably have to as the locals rate this place to eat) and treating yourself.

Location was good. The Royal Crescent is very tired, though you can tell it was once very grand. We were in Room 2 & it was very worn. There was scaffolding outside our window so I think that renovations are about to begin. Unfortunately they are charging luxury prices for a not very luxury experience so we didn't feel it... More

I stayed here for one night over the spring bank holiday, and from pulling up outside to departure the stay was excellent. As is my habit, here are the positives and negatives (there's more of the former than the latter!): Positives: Service - When I pulled up outside, looking around me for where to park, the car was immediately met... My husband took me to Bath for my birthday in February, and we spent two wonderful days at The Royal Crescent Hotel. The staff were lovely - couldn't do more for us but in a warm and friendly way - not the obsequious service you often get in 5 star hotels. There was a roaring fire in reception, and the... More

This was a special four day break for us after a busy period at home. We arrived late and were looked after well by concierge and our car whisked away for parking. We were escorted to our room in the Dower House with the various locations explained whilst on our way. Luggage was soon delivered. The hotel is certainly private... More
