It's our third time to the Royal Crescent Hotel this year... Sounds a touch over the top coming back, but it really is a wonderful place to get away from it all (right in the heart of Bath). The staff are incredibly friendly, the food is great, the spa has a beautiful pool and the rooms are like something out... more

Positives: 1. Excellent staff 2.Excellent food 3. Excellent location Negatives: 1. Lukewarm water in bathroom 2. Partly blocked sink 3. Chipped china on breakfast tray 4.Only one shelf in wardrobe Despite asking for 1 & 2 to be put right , they were not. I do not expect chipped china in any establishment, let alone a very expensive 5* hotel.... more

This hotel is an a fantastic location and has very pleasant grounds. That's really all that it has going for it, however. Hotels are expensive in the UK, but this is extraordinarily overpriced for what it is. My sister and I took my parents there for my mother's 70th birthday. Given the cost, I expected real 5 star luxury. Instead,... more

We went to the Royal Crescent for my husband's 50th birthday and from the moment we arrived we could not have been looked after any better. All the staff were helpful and extremely friendly. The building itself is beautiful and our room was gorgeous with a view overlooking the gardens. The little touches made it extra special. Breakfast was delcious... more

We stayed at the Royal Crescent for just one night and thoroughly enjoyed it. Service throughout the hotel was attentive without being oppressive, our dinner in the restaurant was delicious and was accompanied by some great wine choices from the sommelier, the room was cosy and clean and the breakfast was excellent. The spa was a lovely additional bonus (although... more

I visited here for my sister's hen party. We are an older bunch of girls so very well behaved and simply looking for a place to catch up and relax. It was mostly very pleasant and we had a lovely time but the staff totally spoilt it for several reasons: 1. Not keen on children - two of the girls... more

This was a really special couple of days here. From the minute you arrive you are looked after by attentive staff. The classic room we had overlooked the garden with the Dower house restaurant and the Bath House. The Bath house was so lovely- really relaxing and peaceful. There were a couple of areas that we found could be better... more

We stayed at the Royal Crescent for one night on September 2, and found it to be absolutely delightful. The staff was extremely kind and helpful and recommended a wonderful restaurant (The Moon and Sixpence) for dinner. If you are looking for a modern hotel, the Royal Crescent is not for you. The baths are updated with wonderful showers, but... more
