We stayed for 2 nights (part business and part leisure) and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The hotel is spotlessly clean throughout, with charming decor, an attention to detail in everything, and helpful and welcoming hosts. We also enjoyed the excellent freshly cooked breakfast served in the beautiful dining room, with a large selection of different foods, fresh juices etc. Bath... more

We stayed at the Kennard last month, our lst stop on our UK tour and it couldn't have been better. Every small detail had been well though out, the room wasn't very large but everything was immaculate and tasteful. Talking of which the breakfasts are fantastic, and you feel so well looked after, my husband asked for olive oil (spanish... more

The hotel is perfectly situated on a quiet street of neat Georgian homes, but only a two minute walk from the center of Bath. Our room was smallish - typical of European hotels, but immaculately clean. I thought it was a little expensive - but so is everything else in Bath. Mary and Giovanni are superb hosts. Their advice on... more

I went to Bath for the weekend with my mum and husband and we were lucky enough to stay at the Kennard. Location is perfect - Henrietta Street is a gorgeous Georgian terrace, just a few minutes walk from the Abbey - but it's a very quiet hotel with no background noise. A great deal of thought has gone into... more

We have been regular and discerning visitors to Bath for the past 25 years, staying on average four times a year in this fine city. We have experienced a significant range of Bath’s top hotels / guest houses during this time but the Kennard without doubt manages to provide us with easily the best overall package to date. The location... more

We arrived at the hotel on the Friday evening and my partner had arranged for chilled sparkling Italian prosecco in the room which was a fantastic start!. The hotel is really well situated between the famous Pulteney street and Pultney bridge.and is just a few minutes walk to the main shopping streets. The room was rich and splendid in golds... more

I stayed three nights at this delightful B&B in Bath. I don't know how frequently I can use the terms "charming" and "lovely" in one paragraph without boring readers, but this B&B was both! The location is great for easily getting around the wonderful city of Bath -- just across the famous Pulteney Bridge from the historic center. The room... more

After having been assured, three times, over the phone that their superior rooms had king sized beds we arrived to find our room had a bed that was slightly larger than a double. After querying this with one of the owners the other appeared (arms crossed and looking unimpressed) and started speaking to me rather rudely. I apologised and said... more

Management response from
Mary Baiano, Owner

We are very sorry that you did not enjoy your stay at The Kennard. In our telephone conversations with you, we assured you that the beds in our Superior rooms were king-size, which in fact they are: they measure 5 ft which, by UK standards, is considered king-size, as opposed to a Double bed which measures 4 ft 6 in....
