I spent two nights in this hotel. I was on my own on a business trip for work. The hotel itself is fine - basic and clean. I have no idea of value for money as it was booked for me by someone else. I'd imagine that the hotel has many satisfied customers, however I am not one of them.... more

A good cheap hotel with lovely views of the kennet and avon canal. A shame we couldn't go on the balcony as it was quite hot in the room, but then we found the air-con! more

Stayed with spouse for two nights whilst settling son into university.Very relaxing hotel,helpful staff.Room very nice and clean.Food basic but reasonably priced (although breakfast bit pricey compared to other meals) and although £5 for 24hrs in the car park cheap compared to other car parks it should be free for residents.Would definately stay again when visiting my son! more

Just returned from 2 nights stay and would like to say that the reception staff were more than helpful, nothing was too much trouble. Location great, had two days of lovely weather so the walk into town along the river was most enjoyable. Had a lovely meal at the Strada Restaurant next to the Theatre Royal. Stayed here for one night in Sept. Turned up with no reservation and managed a double room for 69 pounds, so was reasonable value. Convenient restuarant and bar attanched and big plus is big carpark, although is not free, but minimal charge.
