After reading all about Cranleigh, I was very much looking forward to my stay but I was greatly disappointed when I arrived. On entering my room, which was sold on a triple basis, I found that the third "bed" we had to pay extra for was, in actual fact, a camp bed and not a single bed as advised. The... more

Enjoyed our stay at Cranleigh. Took a nice bath in the clawfoot tub, enjoyed a dvd with some tea and cookies in our room. Room was clean, comfortable, quiet and modern. Breakfast was very nice as well. more

Booked two rooms at The Cranleigh at the end of December and was more than delighted with the outcome. Lovely old house in quiet neighbourhood, full of character and beautiful furnishing/decor. Plenty of space and facilities - didn't use the mini-bar but was very impressed with how reasonable the price list was. Excellent breakfast with a wide choice and good,... more

This property is absolutely gorgeous and I would recommend it to anybody. The quality of furnishings in our room was superb, the room very spacious and the bath and shower a luxury. Everything was taken care of by the owners who obviously take personal pride in the residence. While it is not cheap, it is well worth the stay. To... more

Cranleigh is a very nice large B & B about ten minutes drive from Bath's city centre. The owners were very hospitable yet they left us to our privacy only giving help if we asked for it. We booked the hot tub spa in the garden and it was fabulous. We booked the 5p.m slot and at first we were... more

I booked using the telephone number on the website. I spoke with Colin Potter who was very pleasant, helpful and arranged for a bouquet of flowers to be ready in the room upon arrival. I chose room No2 as this looked spectacular from the pictures and I wasn't disappointed when we arrived and unpacked. The mix of old fashioned furniture... more

Even though this place is a Bed and Breakfast they have an good website to allow for online booking. The room was large, attractive, and comfortable, and the owners were kind and helpful. A perk that I did not think we would use was their mini-bar. They offered basic snacks, sodas, and alcoholic beverages at VERY reasonable prices. I think... more

Two nights at the Cranleigh guest house were a birthday surprise from my girlfriend. There was no problem about an early check-in (1pm) and we were shown to a very spacious 1st floor room with a huge bay window overlooking the garden. Nice furnishings included two big 19th century French double beds and sofa. The bathroom was bright, modern with... more

We stayed in Room 9 in the Cranleigh. The room (and the rest of the guest house) was spotless. Our bathroom was excellent with a good shower and a bath with tons of (really) hot water. The breakfasts were high quality - some of the best we have had. The room was comfortable and spacious with a tv/dvd combo. Although... more
