A really charming B&B. Staff were pleasant, attentive and helpful. Location was a 20 min walk from the city centre, or 7 pounds by taxi. Rooms have been elegantly and lovingly decorated and the breakfast room has a beautiful view out over the garden. More

A lovely hotel situated just outside the centre of Bath. It was clean, warm (on a very chilly February weekend), and very serene. We stayed in the Champagne room which had a beautiful, comfortable bed. The staff were very friendly and one of the best features was the breakfast! My boyfriend and I aren't morning people but we got up... More

The Apsley Hotel/B&B is a wonderful accommodation. It is an elegant Georgian Country House Hotel built in 1830, by the Duke of Wellington, set in its own delightful garden. As old as the structure is, it is modern in every way. There are only twelve rooms in the main building so a person is never in a crowd or waiting... More

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Apsley House Hotel on the first weekend of Feb 2012, it was snowy, romantic and a really great weekend. Apsley House Hotel was perfect for our requirements. We stayed in the Waterloo room on the top floor, it was spotless, quiet and toasty warm. The bathroom was absolutely gorgeous, with both a shower... More

Very comfortable and elegant rooms (we had the cheapest room - while it was in the basement it was very comfortable with a very nice bathroom and wasn't dark). The staff were very welcoming and helpful: recommending bars and restaurants, booking taxis etc. Breakfast was delicious. We got a last minute discount which made it excellent value - worth holding... More

I was delighted with every aspect of the Apsley House Hotel apart from the beds in our room. My friend and I stayed in the Peninsular twin bedded room. The room and ensuite bathroom were beautiful and spotlessley clean, but both beds were rock hard! The staff did all that they could to make them more comfortable for our second... More

We made a last minute booking at the Aspley House for an overnight stay in Bath.We did a little reasearch on-line, but we were not prepared for the beauty of this house! It looks as though it has been transported from a century or two ago (except for the bathrooms, which are kept in period style, but are actually modern... More

Wow earned myself some serious brownie points with the girlfriend after booking a weekend away for a birthday treat. Apsley house epitomises the ideal B&B, not too many rooms so you get that personal touch, quaint and oozing character. Stayed in the Beau room which is highly recommended for couples. Why?- a HUGE antique roll top tub big enough to... More

This hotel (really a B&B) has good reviews on this website and they are entirely justified. The accommodation has an upmarket country house feel and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast, which is very good, is served with none of the regimentation of times and menu selection that you sometimes get with B&Bs. The only drawback is that... More
