Was not going to stay here because of reputations as a 'party' hostel, but decided to give it a go, since the YHA site said it was being refurbished and was reopening just before we went. I have no idea what they refurbished - it certainly wasn't obvious. Room was ok, but lacked a little space. Ensuite was like being... more

YHA Bath is located atop Bathwick Hill- a brisk 15 minute walk from proper Bath city centre. Most of the walk is uphill so best to take a bus when lugging your pack. Bath YHA is set in an old building in a quiet location around 20 mins walk from the centre of Bath up steep hill. We booked a 10 bed dorm in the main building which was fairly spacious, had modern bunks with reading lights and a few nice period features e.g fireplace, large bay window.
