Previous reviews say most of what there is to say about 14 Raby Place; yes, it is a nice property, conveniently located and with nice artwork on the walls and a decent, although not outstanding, breakfast. As several reviewers have said, Mrs Guy is not the average B&B owner; her manner can be brusque and you may well be treated... More

Stayed for two nights over the weekend of the Easter holiday. Great location, nice and close to the centre of Bath. Had the room at the top floor. Had great views overlooking Bath. Room was traditional but looking a bit tired. Shower wasn't very powerful. The owner Mrs Guy if your not too sensitive was a real character. I later... More

Very fine period building. Spacious room. Wonderful view across the city. Excellent breakfasts. Charming, helpful hostess. If I had to find any fault with this place, then it was a little too warm in my room. So I opened the window, and then it was perfect.

Stayed here in November 2010 and just recently again in February 2011. Very convenient, with just a 10 minute walk to the downtown area. Stayed in a back room our first trip and front room in February. The view from the front room is fantastic especially at night when the lights of the city are on. It is much quieter... More

We stayed at Mrs. Guy's lovely B&B for two nights in room 1 on the top floor. We had a wonderful view of the city of Bath. The only downside was that we were also facing the main road, which is surprisingly busy for the area - this did not mar our stay! Our little Cocker Spaniel enjoyed her stay... More

I've just returned from my second visit to 14 Raby Place, both for two nights. This time we also had our two dogs with us. I wouldn't stay anywhere else in Bath and I've stayed in several great B&B's there. The location is terrific, many other B&B's are much further out: you can easily walk into the centre in about... Mine was a 2 night stop over in mid October 2009. A pleasant 10 minute walk to Bath City Center makes No 14 an ideal location for visits to Bath. The house is very nicely furnished and is kept clean and tidy. Breakfast was very good and the Landlady I found to be a delightful lady, though mind, she runs... More

Staying here (which I have several times) is always a highlight of my Bath visits, as the house is genuine Georgian, with it's tall windows, beautiful stairwells, and high-ceilinged rooms. Mrs. Guy has stunning, modern and traditional art throughout the house-an amazing and skillful contrast, as her taste and sensibility is unique. Bathrooms are between floors, which is convenient for... More

We stayed here during December, 2008 and I have to say the stay was a mixed bag. The good points were that it had a nice decor, location, (although it wasn't the best about a 15 minute walk to the city centre - there were others that were better) and adequate facilities. Price was reasonable, but not that much cheaper.... More

After reserving a room in advance, Mrs Guy called us late morning on our arrival date, to inform us that she had double booked the room. She was incredibly apologetic, and had arranged for accommodation in another B&B close by. Mrs Guy had offered to pay the difference in rates at the new place (quoted as £10 more expensive), and...
