The location is lovely, right beside the river and overlooking the meadows beyond. This was booked for a special family occasion. We had two different rooms for different nights (we got the only room left both nights). Both were large, clean and comfortable. This is an old charming hotel (don't expect modern Miami Beach, etc.) within a short walking distance from local pubs and the water taxis to downtown Bath.
