Beware of bookings "not being written down" and having to be found alternative accommodation. My daughter booked this for us as a treat but it wasn't noted, allegedly. The cheque was cashed however, and on complaining, the bank details were taken to give a refund but they took another £60 instead of refunding. My daughter has been phoning daily to... more

this is quite a nice place - we visited over the bank holiday weekend and stayed 2 nights - its close to the town center so we weren't too tired to come back to the hotel after a long day sightseeing! we were charged £60 for a double ensuite and 30 for a single ensuite - while we thought the... more

I booked a double room and have given my card details to them. The price they agrred was 50 but later they asked for 60 per night... Didn't even want to argue with them. Totally waste of time. The reservation system is crap and there is no professionalism! more

We were referred here by another local B&B because it had en suite rooms available and was rated as a four star. All seemed OK on arrival - the manager was friendly and the room was clean, but quite shabby - stained carpet, scuffed paintwork etc. When we returned after dinner that night we noticed the front door had been... more

On the 3rd of June, I phoned Ashgrove Guest House and booked two double rooms at £55 each for the night of the 13th of June. On the 13th in the afternoon, I phoned Ashgrove Guest House to confirm what time the rooms would be free and found out that Ashgrove Guest House had not written down my booking and... more

Ashgrove Bed and Breakfast is a delightful and welcoming place to stay. I was greeted by the manager as I arrived and found him to be a charming and welcoming young man and without fuss or bother he showed us up to our room where the interior was beautiful. On my first night I had an issue with another guest... more

Stayed for weekend in April. Great location with free on street parking nearby (IF you can find a space....) Very helpful staff and pleasant interior - clean and well kept with mad suit of armour in the breakfast room. The breakfast was tasty, there was lots of it and the service was quick and efficient. The room itself was comfortable,... more

rooms were nicely decorated, however the tv picture was not good and couldn't adjust using an arial. The breakfast was nice and they were happy to bring out extra tea/coffee if asked. Parking was not immediate to the B and B, but around the corner, if lucky to get a space, parking permits were issued which was good. Only downside... more

When I first arrived I was impressed. Nice friendly reception and helpful staff. The deocr of the room was to a very high standard. It was just a short walk to town. However over the stay my opinion changed. There was no private parking as advertised but we were given a free parking permit to park on the road. We... more

We stayed at the Ashgrove Guest House on a Sunday night in December. This B&B, located 7mins walk from Bath city centre, was only £50 per night per double room (en-suite), and offered free parking (the manager gives parking permits for the area). The room was clean and very nice, peaceful with view on private gardens and Henrietta park. The... more
