Had a fantastic meal in this lovely pub last weekend. The staff were really friendly and our food was superb...well cooked,tasty and served promptly. The landlord came and had a chat ...all in all an excellent evening. Highly recommended,will definitely eat here again and probably stay here too

This is the 2nd time I have stayed here, the pub is quirky downstairs which fits with its age, the bedrooms are contemporary, clean, comfortable and have all amenities. We picked this because we liked the name but then our B&B hosts recommended it. We didnt stay here - visited for food only. Lovely meal with very generous portions. Nice choice on the menu. Liked the fact that we were offered water as well as our purchased drinks. Very friendly staff. Recommend a visit.

What a suprise this place is,far better than i expected for a place that is out of the main centre and charging a budget price.
