Fantastic place to stay Julie the own is a lovely lady. We stayed for the weekend, room was very nicely decorated with everything you would need. Bed was nice and comfortable shower and bathroom just perfect. I would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Wells. Its on the main road but did not hear any traffic, there's a spoons up the road and a lidi round the corner. Its a 5-10 minute stroll into the centre of Wells. If we ever come back this is the one place I would stay

Stayed two nights at Glengarth house. This B&B is spotlessly clean and has kcar parking which was the main reason I chose it. It is within walking distance of the town. However, when we stayed lockdown had been eased allowing Hotels and Guest houses to operate as expected. Maybe I was foolish but I did expect a breakfast. There was sweet snacks and porridge provided and a lovely bowl of fresh fruit. I dislike porridge intensely I dislike sweet biscuits and chocolate and I don’t want fruit for breakfast but I suppose it was a nice touch. I think the breakfast room should have been open to at least provide a continental breakfast. When we arrived we bumped into a very pleasant lady who asked if we were expected and indicated that she was only there by coincidence but did let us in. We saw no one at all during the Three days, there was no replenishment of the hospitality trays there was no white sugar supplied at all and the towels were never changed. The room we had was lovely but had a small window that only looked out on to the apex of a roof less than 2ft from the window. No one made the bed or serviced the room. Other hotels were providing normal service. We paid £80 a night for room only. Had I been aware I would have stayed at the premier in around the corner. I do not think the price reflected the service we received.

Away on a cheeky weekend away we opted for a B&B that said it was walking distance from the Town - check that was exactly what it was a quick 5 minutes stroll and we were there by the sights Most reviews were good and the welcome we got from our host Julie was warm cheerful and helpful She was chatty and fun throughout our visit. The House is well decorated modern and the rooms comfortable with all the facilities needed (TV,kettle and drink making facilities, hair drier,) The en suite was a good size with a good shower so again all fabulous. There is parking here which was an added bonus. It’s a continental breakfast and I would definitely say this was excellent. We had fresh fruit salad and orange juice, every morning with warm pastries, cereal, yogurt and fruit on offer. You can also have eggs and toast any way you like and our poached egg choice was perfection👍 All this was served up in the lovely dining room Overall if you want a very friendly well run high standard B&B then this is the place for you👍👍

We were so well looked after in this spotlessly clean B&B. They kindly brought me raspberries for breakfast because I am allergic to strawberries and they were careful to keep the raspberries very separate from the strawberries. Anyone that has a severe allergy will know how welcome this was. It is within walking distance of the Cathedral. The room was lovely, the ensuite was roomy and spotless. We felt so welcome and would definitely go back there if we are in Wells again.

We had traveled from Huddersfield the day before Glastonbury festival and arranged to stay at Glengarth House. We rang ahead to tell our host we would be later than planned and this was no problem. On arrival there was a space available in little car park in front of the B and B, which was very convenient. We were planning to get up very early (4 am) to beat the queue to the festival and was offered any fruit of the breakfast table to take with us. The room was on the top floor and was perfect for what we were after at the price we paid. We would definitely stay at Glengarth House again if in Wells or nearby.

This is a good B and B with friendly owners only 5 minutes walk from the town centre and cathedral but our stay was marred by the noisy traffic on the busy road fronting the property. It was a warm night so we were obliged to keep the window open but didn’t get much sleep as a consequence. Breakfast was good. If you do stay here ask for a room at the back.

Super place, we were made to feel at home and that we could come and go whenever we wanted. All the rooms were spotlessly clean and comfortable. The doubles were standard size, not queen size. The breakfast was good. It would have been better if the curtains were lined so the room stayed darker, and if there were little shampoos, ( i thought this was standard) as I came without any and had to wash my hair in handsoap. But i would stay here again as it was super friendly and clean.

We were on our way from Cornwall to Nottinghamshire and needed a place to stay after driving through Glastonbury looking for somewhere and hastily leaving we found Glengarth House online rang Julie the owner and arrived 20 minutes later and we’re so glad we did. This B&B is lovely so homely and very clean. We were given a choice of 2 rooms but decided on a large room at the front. The beds were very comfortable and there was everything in the room we needed. Breakfast was delicious fresh fruit yogurt croissants and although Julie doesn’t do a full English she does cook eggs which were perfect. I would recommend staying here and the centre of Wells Is a short walk away and is a lovely place to visit.

The host Julie was very pleasant. However, the bed was both uncomfortable and squeaky, as was the bed next door, which we could hear every time the occupants moved in bed! Also duvet too thick for time of year and no blanket in the room or thinner duvet, so very cold and uncomfortable night. Also heating wasn't on! The tv was not accessible when in bed, so had to move it - a little more thought and a better quality bed needed in this room. Also breakfast disappointing as we were just offered eggs, opted for scrambled, but wish I hadn't. So had cereal and toast instead. For the price we expected more! Parking also an issue in that not much room to manoeuvre! Sadly, won't be staying here again! :(
