Had doubts as soon as we entered the so called court yard. Parking tight. Entered hotel through back door along corridor which smelt of chip fat to an untidy reception room. The White Hart is a strange Hotel. Obvioulsy the building is very old and traditonal which is fine, but the rooms look as though they have not been refurbished in centuries! Lovely stay, very friendly staff with fantastic food. We stayed here for the weekend and were very comfortable indeed. Our friends had stayed there before and had raved on about it so we all went for a weekend in January after Christmas to cheer ouselves up. Good spacious very clean room with all the amenities. very old building and has been a hotel for 100's of years i suppose....rooms been recently re-furbed i would say....parking difficult and limited in old coaching yard so get there early! all around very average more
