We always have problems getting good deals on hotel rooms as there are 5 of us and therefore ususally have to pay for 2 rooms. This hotel has a lagre room which sleeps 5 easily - 3 single beds and a double bed. It also doubles as a conference roon so the bathroom is massive. Our trip was to Alton... more

Stayed here on Sunday night prior to a visit to Alton Towers, which is around 30-40 minutes drive away. Great hotel, spacious room, comfortable bed and all-round great facilities, including totally free internet access, though you have to get a code from reception. DO NOT PAY the swisscom people via the homepage, the reception give you a code and username... more

We stayed here to attend a concert in Stoke. We arrived around 12.30 with check in not being till 2pm. The lady on reception desk asked scowling if I had requested an early arrival. I said no, we have just got here earlier than expected. Travelling over 50 miles up the M5 & M6 does make it difficult to exactly... more

My friend & I stayed here for 3 nights in a twin room. Ok, but it was not 5 star. We had stayed the year before in a Travelodge & its was far better for value & service. The hotel has a design fault where day & night all you can hear is heavy slamming doors which echo floor to... more

Stayed at this hotel en-route to a family wedding so we could have a day at Alton towers. Ideally situated, modern and clean. We had a family room with pull down beds which although a bit lumpy were adequate. The room itself was large and more than enough room for my wife and three boys (7, 9. 12 years old).... more

18 May 2009 | Trip type: Family

Booked the hotel after reading fellow Tripadvisor reviews, and wanted somewhere to stay, fairly close to Alton Towers for a family day out. Travelled from London with Husband and our 3 children aged 11,8 and 6 years. I was impressed that the hotel were able to accomodate us all in a family room - not often the case once you... more

Just come back from a 2 night stay here for an Alton Towers break. The hotel is large, clean and modern and located near an out of town park with cinema and bowling alley + casino (we've visited the latter 2 which was handy as walking distance!) but don't let this put you off as even though these facilities are... more

We stayed at this hotel for a couple of nights - two families with teenagers. the hotel rooms were very spacious and confortable. the service from the welcome at reception to restaurant staff and room service was excellent - nothing was too much trouble. We all used the leisure facilities and again spotless and staff were helpful. I would definitely... more

After having a dreadful time finding the hotel, we were greeted in a very friendly and efficient manner at check-in. Definitely a good start. The room was very large, {I think we'd booked a suite} it had a sitting room next to the bedroom, a king-sized bed, plus a large spa in the bathroom. It was nicely decorated, comfortable and... more
