This is a good 3* hotel with decent, clean rooms and large modern bathrooms. Staff are welcoming and the food is quite good. The price (£77) is a bit heavy for a hotel in its location, but overall, no complaints! more

As mentioned in previous reviews, this hotel is in major need of an upgrade. Very disappointed with the rooms, very dated, no lock on the Bathroon, Bathroom walls were cracked, mouldy - need I go on?? To top it all off, someone tried to get into our room early the next morning (0545) which was extremeley unwelcome 15 miles from... more

This has been a nice hotel at one time, but it's jaded now and needs a good interior face-lift. (something about it reminded me of "The Shining " ) Rooms were clean and more than adequate, but the beds are a bit hard and ping when you move. Walls in room needed to be decorated. Evening meal not good, but... more

I stayed here with my partner following our trip to alton towers. I had read reviews on here and was almost dreading arriving (having pre-booked) however we were greeted with brilliant service in a fairly nice looking hotel. The car park was literally next door to the hotel-excellent parking facilities. The room was nice and just big enough-although the view... more

Arrived at the hotel 3 hours earlier than check in time and all of the rooms were ready even though the hotel was full the night before. The staff delivered excellent customer service throughout our stay for our party of 10. It was a hen weekend and although they were naturally worried concerning offence to the other guests they ensured... more

Not as bad as I was expecting from some of the reviews here, I would class this as adequate for the price charged. Room was in need of decorating but not unclean. Restaurant was ok. However, it is in a very noisy location, so if you have a problem with noise keeping you awake, do not book this hotel. more

I stayed here for 2 nights with my husband as we were visiting Alton Towers. On check in the reception were friendly and afficient. The room was clean if not a little dated but i feel this gave warmth and character to the room. The floor boards creaked, again adding to character. The restaurant is newly decorated and looks lovely... more

I have been in many hotels in UK, but I can not describe this particular experience. It is an old construction, the room has a marvelous view to the inner filthy court. And, above all, trying to have a dinner in the hotel's restaurant it is a risky adventure. First day was a christianity going on, today (even there were... more

The rooms are dirty and the hall ways were filthy. The entire place need painting even unused beds were store in the hall way. I booked 2 nights but checked out after only 1. There is no way on earth I would ever go back to any choice hotel, or any 3* for that matter more
