This was my 2nd visit to the Whiston Hall. Yet again I was warmly welcomed and the acommodation was just as comfortable as the last. The beds are great as I suffer with a bad spine. First time stayed in room 9 this time room 5. All I can say is the rooms are spacious and it makes a change... more

Stayed here recently to go to Alton Towers with a couple of friends, £65 for a twin room with breakfast, so about £30 each, not bad. Rooms were clean, amazing location, staff friendly (and couple of the guys quite tasty lol), breakfast was great with quite a lot of it. Will stay here next time I'm coming to Alton Towers.... more

Arrived at this so called mansion to be met with a working mans club enviroment with the smell of chip fat and tables laid out like a greasey spoon cafe. Well firstly let me start by saying i have worked in a four star hotel for two years, and this by apsolutly no means is a four star, whoever rated this was obviosly on something!! Whiston Hall is a Golf Club with nine rooms of B&B accomadation set in stunning grounds. Rooms are basic and clean and fairly new and we had a pleasant stay. Having stayed here before (May 08) I was quite dissapointed when we turned up last Sunday for a 2 night stay. The main clubhouse was locked with a note on the door to explain which room we were in, luckily having stayed there before we knew where the room was etc. For £65 per night it is ok, fairly clean... more
