Where to begin...? Surly receptionist Wrong room booked for me Creaky, bad taste, poor decor Noisy bedroom Greasy food Lack of breakfast items (at breakfast time?!) Frighteneing staff What a poor excuse for a 3 star hotel. If this is number 2 on the Tripadvisor website, what the hell are numbers 3 to 8 like???!!!! more

The problems with this hotel began before we arrived as I booked 2 rooms and then the other couple found that the husband had been called in (owing to an accident) to work. I called back about 4 hours after booking and asked for the 25% deposit to be taken off my room only to be told it was a... more

I spend lots of time travelling the world and a fair amount of my time is in North East England as I work within the petrochemical industry and this has me visiting Tyne-Tees side areas a hell of a lot. I made the unfortunate mistake of staying in another local hotel(sporting lodge) and was disgusted with the service I recieved... more

This is a really nice place to stay, I had heard off a friend that the Parkmore was a good place to go and stay if you were travelling up north so on their recommendation i booked a room. I was not dissapointed! The hotel is smart inside and really up to date. My partner and I were going to... more

stayed for one night as attending family party. Room on arrival was disapointing to say the least. very small for a double room and decor very dated. Carpets looked as if they could do with a good clean. This room would have served better as a single occupancy as my husband and I felt as if we were on top... more

I hadnt stayed in this hotel for years on business and remembered it as OK and reasonable value. Had forgotten how good the leisure facilities were however and the quality of service and welcoming nature of the staff was first-rate. The dining area has also had a massive makeover since being in new ownership and now has a modern bistro... more

As a regual business user of this hotel I have always had a pleasant enough stay. Recenty though there always seems to be something new going on and it gets better everytime I visit. The leisure facilites are excellent and the restaurant has been refurbished. It is now like a bistro with great food and a very good wine list.... more

Having stayed at the Parkmore Hotel about a year back we knew before leaving for home that we had booked a decent hotel, which would suffice for our weekend trip up North. Better safe than sorry! Well! What a difference a year makes. Apparantly after talking to some of the staff we learnt that the Parkmore had undergone a change... more

We stayed at this hotel for 1 night on a saturday night and whilst i can't hotel the hotel or it's staff at all we did have some problems with other guests! When we arrived are room on the ground floor was basic but spotlessly clean and had everything you would need, toiletaries, hairdryer, TV etc. We used the leisure... more
