I've visited this travelodge on a number of occasions while attending football matches in nearby Middlesbrough. I've always got a room at a great price and it was roomy, clean and with a very comfortable bed. I stayed with my son here on the night before his interview at Durham University (the Thornaby campus) because it was cheap. We paid £40 for a large family room which was clean, The location is a little remote, we drove to Stockton for the nightlife and, yes, it is a bit of a hole, not exactly buzzing with life.... more

Not the best Travelodge about. Services are very limited, a Little Chef and a petrol station, ( not 24Hr), so if you get the muchies late at night there is only a small vending machine on offer. We stayed here last week en-route back from the Scottish Highlands. Unfortunately they put my wife and I on the ground floor. The family from hell were above. Very young children running about non stop,jumping up and down on the floor and making a terrible racket. We asked to be moved,but were told it was a full house. Luckily enough... more
